Wang Hai said that two consumers Ms. Liu and Ms. Wu bought a black 16G iPhone4 at the price of RMB4999 in the Xi Dan Da Yue Cheng Apple store on July 9 and listed the receipt picture onto their blog. The receipt pictures showed the purchase time is 14:28 and 15:03 on July 9; one of the two customers also bought iPod and iPad each together with the iPhone4.
Searched the serial-numbers of the two iPhone4 on the Apple technical support website and found that the warranty of the two iPhone4 is respectively 2012-01-18 and 2012-04-26; while Apple’s normal warranty is one year. That is to say, the warranty of the two iPhone4 purchased by Ms. Liu and Ms. Wu should be 2012-07-09.
As this point, Wang Hai said: “I have reason to doubt that Apple recapped the return iPhone4 and sold it again as new one to the Chinese consumer”, “Apple is suspect to recap product and sell out again as brand new one, which is to deceive consumers to obtain illegal gains. Such behavior should undertake the legal liability as the Article 8, Article 11, Article 35 and Article 49 of the Consumer Protection Act and the Article 14 of the Perking Implementing Measures for Law of the People’s Republic of China on the Protection of Consumers’ Rights and Interests (Amendment).”
